THIS IS A MATERNITY COVER FOR 9 MONTHS STARTING MARCH 2020
Provide strategic insight, financial analysis and support to the property director and the property leadership team. Own the property running costs of ASW (H&B) UK from Finance side. Act as a valued business partner, ensuring that the company’s capital investments have strong financial control and are prioritised within a strategic framework.
Develop and own the store strategy for Superdrug with the property director, ensuring clarity of strategic thinking and targets. Work closely with the Head of Finance at Savers to align the strategies for both Business Units (BUs)
Responsible for running the UK Investment Committee, chaired by the ASW (H&B) UK CEO and FD, setting the agenda, maintaining and developing business case quality control and driving engagement throughout the business and managing the relationships with ASW Group functions
Responsible for the investment appraisal methodology in the ASW (H&B) UK and improving the investment decision making with focus new stores and refurbishing the estate
As part of the Commercial Finance team, work with peers to ensure consistency and a high standard of business and financial analysis is provided in line with ASW Group policies to support decision making
Establish and manage a formal Post Investment Review process for all significant investments, ensuring strategic, financial and operational learnings are captured for subsequent investment decisions
Responsible for capital expenditure in ASW (H&B) UK with full control over fixed asset register (incl. depreciation) and associated day to day and forecasting processes
Responsible for the forecasting, analysis and P&L/Balance sheet management of rent, rates, and service charges and other cost responsibilities of the property director, such as utilities, facilities maintenance and insurance across ASW (H&B) UK
Establish strong relationships with the property director and their leadership teams, providing them with financial insight, analysis, challenge and support as required
Manage a team of investment and property analysts and management accountants
What you need to Suceed
accountant with several years PQE
Ability to analyse information and draw conclusions and problem solve from data
Strong financial analysis, quantitative and analytical knowledge
Strong project, people and leadership experience
Ability to challenge and influence peers and superiors, on a commercial as well as a financial level
