The role is responsible for project management and delivery of the technical and regulatory elements of Own Brand expansion into new markets.
They will ensure product compliance with current legal requirements for specific countries where the products are being merchandised outside of the UK / ROI Superdrug store network. The job holder is expected to provide expert technical and regulatory advice to relevant internal and external colleagues and bodies.
Here's the exciting bit…a day includes
Work with Own Brand Quality Assurance Managers and relevant suppliers to deliver the required compliance support for the identified new markets.
Recommend specific labelling changes required for compliance in identified markets.
Ensure products are screened for any market specific requirements vis a vis ingredient bans or restrictions.
Project Manage all critical paths to cost and time in relation to new market launches.
Provide Technical information and expertise for all related artwork or labelling changes for Own Brand products to be shipped into new markets.
Approval of all products prior to shipment to new markets.
Product Quality Management:
To be responsible for the ongoing quality of products in relation to sales in new markets.
Follow up any trends in customer complaints and ensure potential solutions / quality improvements are reviewed where appropriate.
Investigate customer complaints with suppliers and provide responses to the relevant distributor contacts in the new markets.
Followup on any quality issues with suppliers.
To be accountable for the compliance of products with the legislation and directives in the identified new markets.
Ensure Own Brand Technical and Quality Assurance Manager is made aware of any future legislation changes in those markets which may impact on ability to keep Own Brand products on sale in those markets with minimal disruption.
Have a horizon scanning mechanism to identify any up and coming legislative changes in new markets.
Develop effective working relationship with cross-functional team members in support of launching products into new markets and achieving company and group objectives.
