Increase awareness and credibility of Superdrug as a Health Retailer brand!
This role is primarily split into two key objectives 1) To lead the definition of strategies and marketing support for total Retail Heath and OB Health 2) To lead and manage the overarching own brand campaign with the objective to increase awareness and trust of Total healthcare services marketing for Pharmacy, Nurse clinics and selected digital health services
You will, with your team bring these brands to life in line with business objectives and strategy. The role will involve working hand in hand with the commercial functions across the own brand portfolio across Retail Health and Healthcare services to ensure we are maximising every opportunity and working as one team.
A typical day in this role includes:
Creating and managing short- and long-term strategies according to brand plans to drive key objectives for Retail Health, OB Health and Healthcare Services.
Lead support for Total Healthcare Services (Pharmacy, Private and Digital Services) in building marketing strategies and 360 degree plans to drive awareness, traffic and ultimately bookings.
Lead support for Retail Health to build Marketing support within key Customer themes and explore other opportunities within Retail Health brands
To work with Health OB and Exclusive buyers, suppliers and agencies to ensure we have the best support plans in place. This will range from sharing and working together with the Commercial, Marketing, PR, and web team to secure supporting activity and creating assets to ensure that Health Own Brand and Exclusive gets its share of voice in owned platforms.
Reviewing and ensuring that all POS on an event-by-event basis is in line with the brand guidelines.
To ensure that all healthcare related marketing material goes through the correct sign off process.
To work cross functionally in an integrated manner with the own brand product design team and the own brand buying for Health
Managing, reviewing, and challenging the performance of external agencies against agreed KPIs.
Overseeing shoots and briefing in for new assets to support NPD launches and/or core range across key own brand products in personal care, health or campaign specific assets.
Working closely with the insights team to understand the customer to identify customer profiles for each brand and new customer segments that will lead to brand growth.
Work with the insight team regularly to monitor the brand health of key own brand ranges as well as total own brand.
Oversee, develop & review creative briefs for all marketing assets from POS to social media to ATL media that bring more customers to our stores and to our power brands within Healthcare.
Ensure that all marketing activity is monitored, and campaigns are evaluated, and ROI is measured. Share key findings with the broader business and make recommendations for improvements going forward.
Consistent collaboration and management of various external agency partners in an effective and professional manner to deliver on supporting activity across social media, point of sale, PR, and paid media.
To effectively line manage the Assistant Marketing Manager for health services and potentially an additional Apprentice / Assistant for Retail / OB Health later on
To ensure spend is best used, tracked regularly, and delivering best ROI and in line with budget commitments.

What you’ll need:
Significant experience in Brand Marketing , focusing on Healthcare within a fast-paced retail environment
A good understanding and experience in campaign management, brand development and working cross-functionally
Experience and/or understanding of commercially goals and developing insight-based strategies
Good understanding of healthcare industry / health marketing is a must
Experience in creative development- creating asset briefs and guidelines
Experience in managing a team is a plus
Experience in handling multiple projects
Strong analytical skills
Ability to influence at all levels
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills: written and verbal, including presentations
