COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Role Purpose:
The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for driving the engagement
of our teams across the business, providing clarity, direction, and motivation
on key business activities. They are a communications specialist, providing
support to other areas of the business to ensure communication aligns with the
brand wider strategies. The Internal Communications Manager will oversee comms
across a variety of channels, acting as a brand ambassador for Superdrug’s
vision, mission and values.
A typical day in this role includes:
Liaising across different departments and elements of the business, creating a
variety of comms and content creation
Working stakeholders including, but are not exclusive to, the Exec team,
Operations, the wider Customer and People team and store teams to ensure their
comms are within brand guidelines
Developing innovative and engaging content that shares messages clearly and
consistently across Superdrug
Delivering on the annual Internal Communications Strategy within the agreed
budget and timelines
Management of the Internal Communication Assistant and Internal Communications
Content Executive
Maintaining a rolling calendar of activity across all internal channels,
Superdrug Talent and Linkedin
Supporting the commercial strategy for the business, providing updates across
internal channels
Sharing reporting and analysis of the engagement of the business and consulting
departments on where there are opportunities for them to evolve their approach

industry best practise
What you’ll need:
You will understand the core principles of internal comms and working to deliver a strategy, how to measure success and review progress, working within a budget
You need to have experience in filming and editing short films and podcasts as well as working with content management systems and HTML experience
You will have working knowledge of managing internal communications platforms
You will have experience with adobe and Microsoft editing programmes.
Your leadership experience will have equipped you to mange others, provide feedback and development to your direct reports.
You’ll be confident in managing up and down through the business, adapting quickly to the needs of our team and customers
