Here's the exciting bit…a day includes
Ensure all invoice queries are resolved in a timely manner, encouraging the team to problem solve and engage with the wider business and suppliers as required.
Ensure all AP activities such as invoice processing, statement reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, month end processes as an example are controlled and performed timely
Managing electronic invoicing issues and resolutions with IT to minimize disruption to the business
Be prepared to assess current processes and make improvements to achieve efficiencies
Establish and maintain effective controls over payment runs to suppliers, including BACs and online banking platforms
Daily management of team workload and ensuring continual training and improvements where required
Delivery of a first-class customer service to internal and external customers

What you’ll need:
You will need to be organized and self-motivated to achieve deliverables
Experience of Payment Reporting Analysis and submission
You will have experience of working in a retail organisation ideally and have experience of working within a Shared Service function within Finance
You will have great Excel skills using the ability to analyse data regularly
You will have working knowledge of Oracle
Leadership skills with a naturally inquisitive approach and are driven by task delivery and process improvement
You have solid experience, over 5 years, in leading an Accounts Payable team and this will have equipped you to develop and motivate a team of 6.
