A typical day in this role includes:

- Creating and managing the social media strategy for Superdrug main social channel and local store pages, this includes but is not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tiktok, with the primary objectives of driving brand awareness, engagement and increasing customer conversion that results to sales.

- Creating and managing short and long term strategies to drive the social media community to Superdrug.com and build commerce capabilities within existing social media platforms  

- Leading social marketing projects within the business, from supporting seasonal or brand campaigns, working with the online community – online media and influencers alike, to the trial of new social media platforms to deliver new and incremental social media followers to the business

- Supporting all commercial categories across channels, focusing on business strategy whilst creating engaging content and reacting constantly to changing customers’ needs

- Creating and leading the YouTube content strategy, furthering the SuperdrugLoves brand. Further innovation in video content creation, supporting new trends to engage customers

- Collaborating with the Own Brand & Exclusive team to develop and deliver marketing communications that meet strategy and plans.

- Managing, reviewing and challenging the performance of external agencies against agreed KPIs

- Working with suppliers on joint and complementary social media evently support to maximise social media presence  

- Managing budget, costs and income, for all Social Media platforms.

- Superdrug stakeholder co-ordination – management of internal relationships to promote Wellbeing and Beauty

- Industry research and development into emerging social communication channels to push Superdrug as a digital frontrunner in Health and Beauty

- Managing Social media competition strategy and co-ordination with legal, CRM and Superdrug.com teams.

- Line management of the Social Media Marketing Assistant, Executive and Social Media Apprentice.

What you’ll need:

Significant experience in social media marketing within a fast-paced retail environment
A very good understanding of social media principles (organic as a minimum and paid is a plus)
Experience and/or understanding of commercially goals and strategies and how this fits in social media
Good understanding and interpretation of social media trends in the health and wellbeing and skilled at leveraging customer insights
Experience in any creative field with experience in content management and creation
Experience in managing a team is a plus
Experience in handling multiple projects
Strong analytical skills
Ability to influence at all levels
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills: written and verbal, including presentations
Confident and Energetic
