Here's the exciting bit…a day includes
engaging insights from bespoke quantitative and qualitative research projects
to provide a 360-degree view that drives decision making within
multiple business areas including product ranging, new product
development, ecommerce, marketing, pricing and promotions and customer
A typical day in this role includes:
Manage quantitative research projects to support our Commercial teams with timely, relevant insights into e.g. customer purchase drivers, new product development, pricing, brand perceptions and market trends.
Help our Own Brand team develop new product and service propositions by developing bespoke quantitative and qualitative projects for e.g. market opportunity sizing, understanding customer expectations, concept testing, packaging design and sample testing.
Gather insights using mobile eye tracking technology to grow Superdrug’s marketing reach across all channels, including instore posters and point-of-sale, social, email and online.
Work with our eCommerce team and partners to optimise user experience on superdrug.com via UX testing with real customers, including eye tracking research.
Support the Customer Experience and Store teams with insights from our long-term tracking surveys, covering instore and online service, following-up with additional projects as required.
Plan and supervise the delivery of regular in-person and virtual focus group sessions, providing teams across Superdrug with access to direct customer feedback.
Account manage key suppliers – including major household name brands in Beauty and FMCG - and drive revenue by conducting research into their brands’ performance at Superdrug and identifying opportunities for growth.
Line manage two Research team members; providing mentoring and training on an ongoing basis to support their development. Act as a role model, always demonstrating best practice in the role.
Present insights and opportunities back to external and internal decision makers, including Superdrug directors, to ensure understanding and appropriate action is taken.
What you’ll need:
Degree level education with a significant research element; or equivalent experience
3+ Years of experience conducting end-to-end research projects with proven results
Enthusiastic personality, proactive and willing to challenge the status quo
Experience in line managing and/or mentoring researchers as part of a team
Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (including questionnaire design, sampling, discussion guides)
Experience of drawing out visually engaging and insightful findings from quantitative data
Experience in applying statistical knowledge for significance testing, weighting and sampling
Experience working with qualitative data (including focus group and interview transcripts)
Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken)
Excellent time management and project management skills
Experience of Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Excel to advanced level
Experience of Stakeholder/Account Management
Retail, marketing or FMCG experience (client or agency side)
Tableau or other data visualisation tool experience
Experience of using Natural Language Processing for verbatim data analysis
