Role Purpose

Build Superdrug as a top destination for Exclusives (Health and Beauty), Premium Beauty and Beauty Services (Beauty Studio) 

This role is primarily split into three key objectives 

1) Build and manage the overarching Exclusives campaign with the objective to increase awareness and trust of key Exclusive Health and Beauty products and ultimately drive conversion 

2) To own, lead, scope opportunities and build Marketing support to drive awareness and credibility of Superdrug as a top destination for Premium Beauty among potential Premium beauty suppliers and shoppers 

3) To lead and manage marketing support for Beauty Services through the line (operational and customer-facing included 

Here's the exciting bit…a day includes

Leading, nurturing and exploring opportunities to grow the Exclusives part of GOBE within Health and Beauty

Working with suppliers, buyers and key internal stakeholders to make sure we protect our Exclusives business/brands against top competitors and other pure players by scoping and building organic and paid Marketing support

Working with Exclusives supplier to tailor / come up with bespoke Marketing support offline and online and scope for potential funding for paid Marketing activities

Exploring co-funded activities i.e., support E10 with “Only At” Marketing campaign

Supporting the Commercial Premium Beauty and Fragrance Team to build tailored Marketing plans and attract Premium Beauty brands and give them the support to grow within the SD business – this role will own scoping for opportunities for this area

Creating and managing short- and long-term strategies according for Beauty Studio brand plans to drive key objectives Beauty Services

Reviewing and ensuring that all POS on an event-by-event basis is in line with the brand guidelines for Beauty Services

To work cross functionally in an integrated manner with the Beauty Services commercial and Operations Team

Oversee, develop & review creative briefs for all marketing assets from POS to social media to ATL media that bring more customers to our stores and to our power brands within personal care & Healthcare.

Ensure that all marketing activity is monitored, and campaigns are evaluated, and ROI is measured. Share key findings with the broader business and make recommendations for improvements going forward (for Exclusives, Premium and Beauty Services)

Consistent collaboration and management of various external agency partners in an effective and professional manner to deliver on supporting activity across social media, point of sale, PR, and paid media (for Exclusives, Premium and Beauty Services)

To effectively line manage the assistant marketing manager for Beauty services and potential 1 additional head count later on.

To ensure spend is best used, tracked regularly, and delivering best ROI and in line with budget commitments for all areas 

What you’ll need:

Significant experience in brand marketing within a fast-paced retail environment
Experience in premium beauty is a plus!
A good understanding and experience in campaign management, brand development and working cross-functionally
Experience and/or understanding of commercially goals and developing insight-based strategies
Good understanding of beauty industry / marketing is a must
Experience in scoping and securing income / funds for Marketing activities is preferred
Experience in creative development- creating asset briefs and guidelines
Experience in managing a team is a plus
Experience in handling multiple projects
Strong analytical skills
Ability to influence at all levels
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills: written and verbal, including presentations
