opportunity has arisen to be part of the successful Savers Supply Chain;
working within one of our three busy Distribution centres as a Site Trainer.
This vacancy
is for Stead House Distribution Centre; based in Darlington. The hours of will
we be predominantly as stated above but flexibility will be required across all
other shift patterns.

About the
role
Working as
part of the Site MHE instructor team in ensuring that that all training is
completed and recorded in line with company policy. Deliver MHE training both basic
and refresher to include PPT, CBT, RT, VNA, MEWP or other equipment that may be
used together with FLT battery changing. The purpose of the role is to deliver
training to MHE operators to ensure safe working practices and a continual
reduction in MHE accident / incidents.
Our operation at SHDC provides stock to over
200 savers stores on a weekly basis. As you can expect this is a fast-paced
role in a busy environment.

specified standards are maintained, if not exceeded.

“One Team” to ensure that operational efficiencies are identified and
maximised; encouraging Growth & Innovation within the team, utilising
appropriate resource and safe working practices; to help create a Supply Chain
that makes our customer smile!
Keys
roles and responsibilities:
Training delivery of all MHE staff to use the FMS system (Fleet
Management System)
Completing/supporting site inductions of MHE/Manual Handling for
all FTE/ Agency staff
Supporting the Risk Assessment (RA) / Safe systems of work (SSOW)
completion with the nominated person/s
Providing a consistently high level of technical skills training to
support the operations area through a variety of delivery methods.
Supporting onsite training buddies to deliver exceptional service.
Review training content and update as required, ensuring all
training is in line with RTITB / IITSAR recommendations and deliver
training to these standards.
Keeping updated on changes to the standards of RTITB and ITTSAR, to
ensure our training is fit for purpose.
Strong understanding of health and safety and site regulations,
acting as a safety ambassador within our DC by completing on a regular
basis the Behavioural Safety Audits.

How can I progress from a Team Leader role within Superdrug?
We have a programme called RMT: Retail Management Training, which is a 3-month development programme to advance management skills and upskill behaviours, helping Team Leaders to be ready for that Assistant Manager role. This is a great way to take that next step into a management role within Superdrug.
Requirements to apply:
You need to be a Team Leader for at least 6 months in the business, be confident in your role and be wanting to take the next step into an Assistant Manager role.
You will have already demonstrated your skills, willingness to travel to other stores to gain experience and build your network, and have completed a career conversation or interview with your Line Manager and Area Manager to confirm your readiness for the programme.

What training will I receive?
You will spend your first four weeks training with one of our Store Managers at a designated training store. After that, in your own store, the management team and Area Manager will continue to support you with guidance on operations, leadership, and any challenges you may face.
