Our Roles
Pharmacist and Relief Pharmacists
We aim to ensure customers receive the best patient care available on the high street even when our Pharmacy Managers are on their day off! Working as a Relief Pharmacist you will gain amazing experience across different locations within the region covering our Pharmacy Managers when they’re not on site. Alternatively, as a supporting part-time Pharmacist, you will take ownership of the pharmacy whilst covering the Pharmacy Managers who work for us part-time. This role is perfect for Pharmacists thriving with ambition and looking to gain experience and progress into a Pharmacy Manager role.
Pharmacy Team Leaders
Our Team Leaders are made up of qualified healthcare individuals who shine as natural leaders and are crucial for our many of in-store pharmacies (DNVQ level 3qualified). Providing support directly to our Pharmacists, they have management responsibilities and set an example for the rest of their team using their dispensing expertise. Our Team Leaders are expert professionals who deliver superb patient care for our customers, they lead the way for our pharmacy support staff; all whilst being the operational and governance leads in our dispensaries. They help build our business and forge strong working relationships with our healthcare professionals while allowing the Pharmacist to focus on giving great clinical care to our customers through our services.
Pharmacy Managers
Lead the way within community pharmacy delivering ‘That Superdrug Feeling’ to our customer and patients. You and your team of dedicated healthcare heroes will lead the way delivering exceptional patient care and services to those within the local community! Progression doesn’t end here at Superdrug.... there’s a range of progressive opportunities ahead... you could develop into becoming one of our Regional Healthcare Managers of tomorrow or work within our fabulous head office as a senior manager in one of our healthcare functions.
Pharmacy Support Staff
Our Trainee Pharmacy Assistants, Pharmacy Dispensers and Accuracy Checking Technicians are at the heart and core of our pharmacies! Compassion and accuracy play a crucial role within our pharmacies, which makes us stand out from the crowd. We’re passionate about developing talent – starting with our Trainee Pharmacy Assistant role, where we support individuals to gain their NVQ Level 2 qualification and progress to become a Dispenser with us. From there, you can continue to grow and develop into a Level 3 to practise as an ACT!
Pharmacy Foundation Year
We are really proud of the success of our Foundation Year Programme that has been running for over 20 years, resulting in industry leading pass rates! Our 52 weeks structured programme allows both independent and collaborative study and the opportunity to interact and share learnings at our four residentials held throughout the year. With the support from a fully trained Designated Supervisor our programme equips you with the skills to not only pass your exam but to forge a long and successful pharmacy career with us.
