Before You Apply
How do I apply?
It's simple! Start by searching for a job. When you find a position that interests you, click the 'Apply Now' button next to the job title at the top of the page. Then, follow the instructions.
How can I track my application?
You can track your application's progress by logging in with your email address and password. If you haven't received an update yet, your application is still under review, and we will reach out to you as soon as possible. Please also check the email account you used to apply, including your junk folder, to ensure you haven't missed any communication from us.
How do I know if my application has been received?
Once submitting your application, you should shortly receive an email to your inbox confirming that your application has been submitted.
I wanted to apply for a position I saw here, but it's not listed anymore. Can I still apply?
We frequently update our job listings, adding new positions and removing those that are filled or no longer open. If you don't see a job listed, keep checking back as new roles are always being posted.
Can I apply to multiple roles?
Yes, you can apply to multiple roles! However, we recommend that you focus on positions that truly align with your skills, interests and location preferences. When applying for several roles, please ensure that your applications are tailored to each position’s specific requirements. You will be assessed based on how well you match the criteria for each role and may be invited to interview for multiple positions. Take the time to consider which roles best suit your location, strengths, and career goals to make the most of your application.
What can I do if there isn’t a vacancy locally?
All our open roles are live on our career’s website www.superdrug.jobs. If there isn’t a local vacancy, you can use our map view on your desktop to find the closest the vacancy or keep an eye out on our website as we are always on the lookout for talent!
How do I share a role with someone I know?
Once you open a job, you will find an option on the right-hand side. This option will allow you to directly share the advert through multiple platforms. Let’s spread that superdrug feeling!
What is the salary of the position I’m interested in?
We typically display most of our salaries on our job search page or in the body of the job description. If this is not visible in the job description, then it will be discussed further with you during the interview process
Is overtime avaliable?
Overtime hours are subject to availability and line manager approval.
Can I still apply for a role if I have a planned holiday?
Yes! You can apply for a role even if you have planned holiday. During the interview process please inform the talent team or interviewer about your scheduled absence to discuss any potential implications and suitable arrangements.

Your Application
Do I still need a CV to apply if I don’t have one?
For most of our roles we don’t require a CV as a mandatory part of the application process. If it is a requirement, it will be asked for the application stage, and you won’t be able to progress without attaching it. Although most of our roles don’t require one, if you can create a CV that would be best to display what makes you stand out. Our Talent AcquisitionAdvisors and store teams love to look at a CV just to know a little more about the person applying.
What should I do if I’m not able to upload my CV?
Please make sure that your CV is in either Word or PDF format before trying to upload to our career site. You cannot use image files or Apple Pages files as our system is unable to read them.If you are still unable to upload your CV to a live vacancy;
For store roles, please visit the store you would like to apply for and speak to the store manager. Please take along a copy of your CV.
For all other roles, please email thetalentteam@superdrug.com and we will pass it on to our Talent Acquisition Advisors.
What should I do If I haven’t heard back 28 days after applying?
We try to review all applications within 28 days, however sometimes due to the volume that we receive this could take longer, so please bear that in mind. If you haven’t heard back in 28 days, it is likely you have been unsuccessful on this occasion. What should I bring to an interview?
You should bring any relevant certifications and qualifications the role you are applying for requires. You should also bring your right-to-work documents and share code if it is applicable. How do I prepare for an interview?
Visit a store - Check out your local Superdrug store. What do you think of it? What are the customers like? Would you fit in as part of the team?
Get to know our brand - We love our brand! And we love to know what other people think of it. Check out our website, look at our product ranges (don’t forget Own Brand) and talk to your friends. Bring your views to your interview.
Know the role - Check the job description. Make sure you know exactly what your role will be. Are you up for it? What makes you suited to that role?
Get the basics right - Don’t forget to check the basics. Who’s interviewing you, where and at what time. Knowing this will help you arrive on time, prepared and ready to go. If you are unsure please reach out to your recruiter.
Remember, it is about you - What are your strong points? What have you achieved elsewhere? And where is there room for improvement? Go on, big yourself up a bit.
Interview us - Any interview is a two-way process. Think about what you want to ask us – it’s a great opportunity to find out if the role and company culture are right for you.

What is the STAR technique?
The star technique is a structured approach to answering behavioural questions that require you to give examples. It stands for:
Situation – Describing the situation and clearly explaining the circumstances and any challenges involved.
Task – Describing the task or goal that needed to be accomplished in that situation.
Action – Explaining the actions you took to address the situation and complete the task. You want to explain the steps you took and skills you applied.
Result – Concluding the answer with the results of your actions and positive outcomes.

How much holiday do I get?
Up to 33 days holiday rising to 38 days with length of service (inclusive of bank holidays). For part-time roles there is up to 28 days holiday.

How do you support my wellbeing?

How can I progress from a Team Leader role within Superdrug?
We have a programme called RMT: Retail Management Training, which is a 3-month development programme to advance management skills and upskill behaviours, helping Team Leaders to be ready for that Assistant Manager role. This is a great way to take that next step into a management role within Superdrug.
Requirements to apply:
You need to be a Team Leader for at least 6 months in the business, be confident in your role and be wanting to take the next step into an Assistant Manager role.
You will have already demonstrated your skills, willingness to travel to other stores to gain experience and build your network and have completed a career conversation or interview with your Line Manager and Area Manager to confirm your readiness for the programme.
Your First Day
What do I need to bring on my first day?
Aside from bringing your amazing self, please bring your proof of right to work.
What time is my first shift on my first day?
The timing of your first shift should be on your offer email, but if you do not have the specific time, please contact your line manager or recruitment contact.
Can I have fake nails, tattoos, and piercings?
Yes! We want you to be yourself and comfortable, Superdrug is a place Where You Can be You.
What is the uniform policy?
For Store, Pharmacy, Beauty Services and DC roles, you will be provided with the relevant items of uniform or PPE when you start with us. Depending on your role, your manager will be able to provide you with the specific uniform guidelines. Please wear closed toe and comfortable footwear. For Head Office roles, we advise you to "dress for your day ahead”, with smart/casual clothing and something that you would feel comfortable in.
